It has begun…sort of!

August 29th, 2010

A few rough days, but the Turtle is finally on the hook and the car is officially for sale. No more overpriced parking spots, no more municipal run marinas, and a work yard that won’t let you live aboard…never again. Oh yeah, and no more marinas with fixed docks in areas with huge tide swings.

Gave my electrical panel a bath before leaving Atlantic Highlands, thanks to a window, that apparently isn’t sealed. After blasting it with the hose to wash all the wasps nests out, water was dripping from everything. I’m still amazed nothing blew. Really can’t wait to see some of the Gem fan boys say that this one isn’t a design flaw…or at least just a bad design. Unless it’s just a Wednesday boat thing? Either way, something to add to the repair/mod list.

Took a break for lunch while everything dried out. During which my eyes started to mysteriously tear uncontrollably! Or maybe it was just the wasp spray and bleach on my hands that forgot to wash off?

Testing…testing

2009 Bike Rides

July 24th, 2009

Since apparently I’m really bad at keeping this up to date, I figured this would at least be a start.

Still need a few donations to meet my goal for LIVESTRONG 2009.

Or if you prefer, I’m also riding in BikeMS NYC again.

I promise I’ll get my shit together and start keeping this up to date, probably with boat stories.
Maybe I’ll get started on that when the boat finally leaves the slip?
